Let me start by saying that I absolutely despise the name “cauliflower steaks”!!
–>Says the girl who named the recipe cauliflower steaks!
I apologize wholeheartedly but for search purposes I need to use a name that make the google gods happy.
So, I made these grilled spicy cauliflower steaks some time ago. Then I made them again and again. They are so addictive!
I’m so happy spring has sprung so I can grill in warmer weather. Spring also means gardening and yard work which I absolutely LOVE!
Right now our yard is flooded from epic record setting rainfall. It makes me want to scream. Mostly because we have two dogs who come inside from playing covered in mud. Zero fun for Kim!
While I pout about our epic weather conditions this spring I’m planning ahead so I can take control of our yard for spring and summer.

Spring is also the perfect time for grilling up fabulous fresh veggies. Swing by your local farmers market or look into a CSA delivey service.
We have a CSA delivered twice a month during spring and summer. Then we hit farmers markets and local farm stands for tons of fresh produce.
I spend so much time in my yard but have yet to put in a vegetable garden. We’re hoping to put a small herb and veggie garden this spring. With a fence to keep our pups from digging!
One thing I’d love to plant is cauliflower. It is such a versatile vegetable. You can do almost anything with cauliflower these days.

Grilled Spicy Cauliflower Steaks
Ingredients
- 2 heads cauliflower ,halved
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup thai sweet chili sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 shallots ,diced
- 1 tbsp dried parsley ,for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium heat. Make sure grill grates are clean.
- Clean cauliflower, removes any leaves and trim the stem. Grab cauliflower and hold with florets facing up and stem securely on base of a cutting board, then slice firmly down the middle so you divide the cauliflower in half. Repeat with second cauliflower.
- In a small bowl combine olive oil and sweet chili sauce. Mix well. Brush over cauliflower all sides of the cauliflower.
- Place on grill, put the lid down and cook for about 5 to 6 minutes. Open lid and flip the cauliflower. Cook for about 5 to 6 minutes more. Cooking time will vary depending on how much char you like. I like mine with a good amount of char on the edges.
- Remove from the grill and place on a serving tray. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, shallots and parsley.
- Serve immediately.
