Super easy to make and quick to cook. These kebabs will have you going back for fifths, I guarantee it. Cooked simply to let the quality of the beef stand out. Try this one today! Thank me tomorrow!
Some days I just loving being me. The day we ate these bad boys was one of those days. My job rocks. Hard. I basically get to play with food. For a living.
So much for parents telling their kids not to play with their food. I say have at it. If this is the end result I’ll play with my food all the live long day.
And love every freaking minute of it.
This is super simple to make. You can swap out any other cut of beef for the tenderloin. I just happened to have some small pieces of tenderloin laying around after I broke one down for Tenderloin Steaks. I like to use the bits I cut off to make other things. We do not waste food here at the Beaulieu Compound. Most of the time I’ll use the bits for stir fry since my daughter is a stir fry nut. This day she happened to be having din-din with her boytoy so the mama got to play with her food her way.
Tenderloin is wicked pricey so feel free to swap it out for cheaper cut of beef. If you do swap for a cheaper cut I would recommend marinating the meat for a good 1 to 2 hours prior to grilling. If you use tenderloin there really is not much need for a marinade. Unless your going for a specific taste like New Orleans style kebabs or a Citrus Blend. Tenderloin does not need a long period of time to marinate if you decide to use one. Especially if you use citrus. It would break down the meat fairly quickly so only do it for a short time, no more than 20 minutes.
In the meantime make these. In the time it would take you to marinate a cheaper cut these would be cooked and on the table. You can’t go wrong with these.

Beef Tenderloin Kebabs with Green Peppers and Onions
Ingredients
- 1 pound of beef tenderloin
- 1 green pepper
- 1/2 sweet onion I love vidalia onions
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup of your favorite BBQ Sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium. I tend to preheat on high, but these I went right to medium heat. You don't want to burn expensive beef.
- Cut your beef into cubes, about 1 to 1 1/2 inch in size.
- Cut your veggies into chunky pieces.
- Thread your meat and veggies onto skewers, leaving small gaps between.
- Season with salt and pepper, I usually leave the pepper until after I grill. I find it burns easily. So it's usually my last step. This is just a personal thing. You do your thing your way.
- Brush on the sauce before if you like it cooked into the meat, after if you don't like it cooked into the meat.I like the char and flavour of meat with sauce cooked into it.
- Place over direct medium heat on grill and cook each side for about 3 to 4 minutes. This will give you a medium rare kebab.
- If you want rare minus a minute off each side.
- If you want well done add a minute to each side.
- Sprinkle on pepper now if you waited to add it.
- Remove from the grill and allow to stand for about 5 to 10 minutes.
- Serve with a big old tenderloin loving smile!

Grill Tip:
A recipe like this makes brushing your grill with oil before placing the meat on it super important. This recipe is a quick grill so make sure you take the time to brush some oil over the grill grates before popping the meat on. You can brush with vegetable oil, canola oil, or even olive oil. Usually cheaper oils are okay for this step. Use a long handled brush and be very careful not to splash oil around. I put my oil in a ramekin and stick my brush in that so I can control how much I use. If you don’t oil the grates this would stick.
Hope you enjoyed today’s tip!
What’s your favourite veggie to put on a kebab?
Mine has to be shallots, the only reason it wasn’t on these is I didn’t have any. Plus finding ones big enough to cut into chunks can be hard. I also really like peppers of any kind. So yummy on steak kebabs.
Thank you for spending some time with me today!
Now get outside and fire up that grill. You won’t be sorry!
Now be confident and get your grill on!

Am I missing something? I can’t find the recipe on this page only the story and cooking tips. I’m a little new to your site so I may just be overlooking.
